Annual Cap on EB-5 Visas

EB-5-annual-cap-on-eb-5-visasThe EB-5 visa program has an annual maximum of 10,000 visas issued per year. At least 3,000 of these visas are reserved for new I-526 visa petitions filed based on investments in projects sponsored by a Regional Center. The USCIS has stated that up to the full 10,000 allotted visa slots may be used for Regional Center based visas if not used for Standard Program EB-5 visas.

At present there is no waiting list for investors seeking EB-5 visas. As the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program continues to grow in popularity, it is possible that waiting lists will arise. Waiting lists could cause investors to have to wait to obtain their EB-5 visa after the Form I-526 visa petition is approved.

I.A. Donoso & Associates LLC is delighted to assist you with your review and analysis of EB-5 investment projects or regarding your eligibility under EB-5 category. Please feel free to schedule a consultation by calling (301) 276-0653, or by completing our online consultation form.
